Jacob Chinn

Medical QiGong Practitioner, CMQ, MSTCM, L.Ac

A teacher and practitioner of both Healing Qigong (postures, breathing and visualizations to
move the qi) and Medical Qigong (which includes a trained practitioner to move the qi) for over
18 years, Jacob brings practicality and deep understanding which he effortlessly articulates to
those who are inquisitive about qigong. As a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, Jacob has
served the local community with one-on-one healing sessions, group sessions, group teaching
and teaching individual qigong students. With his strong background in the healing arts of
Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jacob weaves a picture of understanding with the threads of
given symptoms and ailments and tailors qigong directly geared at righting those imbalances.
He also offers succinct sets of qigong like Dao Wu Zang, Guigen, Eight Brocades and Zhan
Zhuang Standing Meditation to name a few.
A deep awareness of the subtle movements within the body are Jacob’s main goal in imparting
qigong to promising students. Knowing the self from within means capitalizing on the subtle
sensations and emissions the body is constantly relaying. Qigong hones, grows and employs
this subtle awareness to make us active participants in our healing process. Dysfunction so
often arises from the mismanagement and over-resistance to the emotions that are so natural to
the body’s design. Qigong provides a space to safely and effectively process and release pent
up emotion as qi stagnation. Using healing sounds and envisioning supportive colors coming in
on the breath, qigong students are transported to internal places and spaces that show them
where the calm and the peace has always resided within.

Kyla is a multi-certified coach. She is certified in: Family Constellations Therapy,
Integrative Hypnosis, Theta Healing, Life Coaching, Happiness Coaching, and
Corporate Happiness Coaching. She is a Harvard grad, and former award-winning
professor turned Global Happiness Coach and Speaker. She now uses Family
Constellations Therapy to help women heal at the deepest levels so they can grow their
lives and businesses on their own terms through 1:1 coaching, group coaching, and
retreats. She loves swimming and matcha lattes.

My Story

Ten years ago, I felt like I was swimming upstream all the time. I was always exhausted and stressed with horrible digestive issues, brain fog, etc. - I felt awful, and worst of all, I didn’t know what to do about it. I went to multiple doctors, but there wasn’t a clear diagnosis; I tried therapy, self-help workshops, 12-step programs, meditation, medication, you name it. I had actually just started to accept it as the way things were when I was introduced to Z-Health Performance Solutions. I discovered some problems in the way my eyes move, deficits in the function of my vestibular system (a network of organs in the inner ear that help us balance), and some blurry movement maps around old injuries. I learned how these deficits were adding stress to my nervous system without my even being aware of them! By improving the function in each of these areas (and others) I started to feel SO much better. Today, I feel like I can show up fully to my deepest priorities, which for me are playing with my 5-year-old daughter, singing/acting/dancing, and creating content to share the power of communicating with your nervous system!

My Philosophy

I help people get out of pain and improve performance by teaching them how to play with their brains. I use practical tools and techniques taken from cutting-edge neuroscience to help people understand and overcome their obstacles to better health and performance. I work with a wide variety of clients, ranging from people stuck in pain to elite-level athletes and performers looking for an edge-up. It is my personal mission to share this information with anyone who wants to deepen their relationship with their brains and bodies.

She focuses on the body as a whole, using the power of food, intuition, nature, movement, and self-love to help others create a life that supports their body’s innate ability to heal and thrive. She believes it's never too late to take ownership of your health. She goes beyond what's on your plate, but takes you deeper into your environment, relationships, career, exercise, and every other aspect of your life. She teaches others how to tap into their strengths and desires and reframe past stories to discover what they need to feel and look their best using simple strategies. No fad diets for her, it’s about creating a lifestyle unique to you. She blends her personal health experience, passion, training, and education in nutrition, lifestyle, and fitness.

She guides others through motivation, education, and strategic actions that build sustainable habits to honor your core values and what your body needs to have more energy, better digestion, lose stubborn weight, cope with stress, strengthen your immune system, improve your sleep, and gain greater joy. My Story

Laura is a powerful Intuit, Spiritual Life Coach, and Energy Therapist. Through deep
psychospiritual connection, meditation, and embodiment practices, she supports her clients and students in cultivating awareness, trust, and confidence in their ability to find a gentle and loving relationship with themselves and the world. Allowing them to move from daily angst, trauma, dread, and anxiety to a sense of wellness, balance, peace, empowerment, and agency in their lives and relationships.

She has a poignant, decades-long story through a profound darkness that allows her access to a place that many can't imagine. Her ultimate triumph through this period of her life has led to a very unique and gentle ability to create space for others who struggle with their own darkness and light. She stepped into her light and now experiences life through a filter of a healed body, mind, and spirit. Laura has taken lemons and made lemonade through a thriving Mindful living practice in Danville and online. She is an international and local retreat and workshop leader, immersing all in a way of living that transcends the retreat into daily living. Laura lives in Danville and enjoys traveling, walking about town, spending time with her family including five grandchildren, cooking up new and interesting whole-food plant-based meals, and relaxing with her newly retired husband.

My signature coaching model allows individuals and groups to experience, through all of their senses, the self-limiting and self-sabotaging beliefs, thoughts, ideas, and patterns that are in the way of experiencing wellness. My Story

I have moved 46 times all over the country. I have met so many amazing people from so many different cultures, and belief systems. I find everyone is an amazing gift to this world. I am passionate about my practice and sharing tools to empower lives. The power of mindset through the mind-body connection is priceless. My experience has been working in a chiropractic setting, and private practice with experience including; Car accident victims, sports injury, stroke victims and mobility after surgery. We are so lucky that we have the ability to make a decision to change, and the opportunity to take action.

My Philosophy

We must become students for life. We always have the opportunity to learn and grow. I am passionate about God, personal development, and the power of the mind. As a seasoned yoga practitioner, I guide individuals to leverage the power of yoga, a discipline that promotes self-awareness and physical wellness. I have studied massage, which is a wonderful way to peacefully address the needs of the body. I have also studied hypnotherapy, which is a wonderful way to address the needs of the conscience and subconscious for its health and happiness. My studies with Theta Healing have illuminated Spiritual health as the main component of holistic healing. I have also studied Yoga which is a practice that puts equal effort and gravitas into all: Body Mind Spirit. That is what I would like to share with you.

My wellness philosophy is that whatever we are doing for ourselves in fitness it must address the whole person of each of us. Laughter, friendship, family, freedom, and love each play a part in our health. We can be pulled in many directions, and sometimes life is so incredibly challenging that we need guidance to achieve our best selves. I take lots of classes and I teach classes. I walk my dog and meditate - each has a place and time and I try not to fret if things go sideways...just go back to what is healthy for me.

Medical QiGong
