My Story

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a trainer. When I was young, I always played sports, probably more for the workouts. I studied Kinesiology in College with an emphasis in health and human performance, then got NASM and AFAA certifications. I have lived in Australia and New York, and have been a trainer/fitness coach for 5 years and counting. I am passionate about learning and helping others, and I absolutely love what I do!

My Story

When college sports ended, I found myself looking for an outlet -- a way to recreate the feeling and the physical challenge playing sports had given me. As a young mom, I also found exercise to be rewarding and the perfect positive way to designate to “me time.”

My Story

I’ve always been fascinated with the capabilities of the human body. Going into freshman year of college, I discovered how weightlifting could change my body, and how much of an impact it had on every facet of my life. Already majoring in Social Work, I knew I wanted to work with people and help them improve their lives. Combining that with my passion for fitness, I realized I could do exactly that every day in this industry.

I have been interested in stretching and exercise since I was younger -- always dancing around the house, practicing martial arts, karate, kung fu, and tai chi . I was quite interested in how to help heal the body through movement and stretching when I started taking tai chi. I also became a pilates instructor.

I was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Since I can remember, I’ve had a passion for sports. I played competitively my entire life and have personally experienced my share of injuries, aches and pains. After my playing days, I found my life’s other passion, massage therapy. I wanted to give back to those still competing; helping others recover quicker, take better care of their bodies and compete at the highest level.

My Story

As a teenager, I used to get requests from my Dad to massage his shoulders and neck. I later found a great massage school and became certified. I have since learned the importance in emphasizing body awareness and self-/after-care after your massage treatment in order to see results more quickly and have them last longer. I take continuing education courses whenever possible and incorporate new techniques to give my clients the best possible experience.

My Wellness Philosophy

Pay attention to your body’s signals. If something is not right, your body sends signals like pain or discomfort. Taking care of your body with exercise, healthy eating, daily stretching, massage and natural remedies will help you to feel your best. You are never too old to change your habits or start something new.

My Story

When I originally got into fitness it was to get myself into shape! At 32 years old, I was overweight and not happy with the way I looked or felt. I was given the opportunity to teach step classes and so began my journey. I lost 80 lbs and have kept it off.
Over the last 25 years I’ve learned several formats of group fitness, from Aqua to strength training, Pilates and more.
